He has also successfully represented clients before the Supreme Court of British Columbia on estate-related issues, such as curing formal defects in a will and substituting personal representatives when an executor passed away before the estate was administered. In family law, he prepares cohabitation, marriage, and separation agreements, and assists with property and debt division, as well as parenting arrangements. When conflict is unavoidable, Dempsey offers cost-effective solutions tailored to his clients' goals, aiming for efficient resolution through negotiated settlements or, if necessary, at trial. Dempsey earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta, where he also completed his undergraduate degree in political science with a minor in history. Outside of work, he enjoys running, swimming, and cycling in the scenic surroundings of Chilliwack, BC, and values time spent with his family.
